Where to satisfy your cravings for the most tender flame-grilled falls-off-the-bone ribs in Metro Manila? Where else but at taste-rich Racks! It’s simply the dining destination that deserves a draw of not just yourself, but of throngs of people that include your friends, family members, and workmates.
For my most recent visit of the fine dining restaurant, I decided to celebrate a career milestone with my family at one of its newly-opened space at the 4th level of SM Megamall next to Tenya (a new Japanese restaurant). I happened to snag a job in
and got excited about it enough to propose to my new boss an additional work
duty to complicate my new career status. To formally show my gratitude to God
for the challenging full-time job and drown any anxiety about the future, I
entertained the temptation to dine my worries away. I figured that my meal had
to have the classic taste of Racks’ smoky hickory flavoured ribs. Also, the mouth-watering
treat had to be slathered with the restaurant’s signature barbeque sauce. I
sincerely believed that I deserved the bliss. Makati City
Reservations For Three
I had reservations made at the restaurant an hour prior to strolling at the mall, so we conveniently secured a cozy spot by lunch time. As expected, the place was occupied by other diners with probably the same cravings as ours. Good food and service are not easy to have in one experience these days anyway. Fortunately, Racks can always deliver both.
Smoked Spring Chicken
Just when our orders were about to be repeated by the friendly staff, I spotted a new entry in the restaurant’s menu – the Smoked Spring Chicken. It was described by our assigned attendant that the new all-time barbeque classic option now comes in smoked chicken format, sprawled on a plate in all its delicious glory. She added that it was recently launched (May of this year) and has since become a hit among patrons. After effortlessly tearing into it, I can attest to its juicy quality as a savory departure from a popular rival’s own version.
It was served with our choice of potato salad and coleslaw from the options of fresh greens, corn on the cob, and more. I found the Alabama White Sauce a great complementing mayo-based sauce to the dish.
A few minutes into our meal, I had the chance to find out from the restaurant manager that the chicken dish was thoroughly grilled over hickory wood until it got ultimately tender that it simply became its authentic self -- a falls-off-the-bone masterpiece!

mouth-watering, all-American dishes still continue today and I can’t be more
