Dining at the newly-opened hotel-restaurant Piazza Privato was a pristine experience in the art of transformation. From being listless after a deep slumber at my comfy Privato Hotel bed, I awakened my senses by simply being inside the modern-contemporary interiors of the restaurant.

Piazza Privato offers basically the same hotel-restaurant fare I've seen in other Metro Manila-based hotels but the distinction is still in the taste. The chef at the helm of my adobong puti order for breakfast informed me through the reception staff that the reason why the pork meat did not have the commercial saltiness that I've been accustomed to was because he used fish sauce in the Pampanga dish. If anything, the spike in the taste jolted me out of my sluggish morning self.

Black and White Surroundings

The white walls surrounding the restaurant also added to the energy that I was trying to imbibe for the day. It was supposed to be the first day of my food trip-venture in nearby food districts, Barangay Kapitolyo and Capitol Commons, and I badly needed an inspiring view to go along with breakfast.

I was clearly not disappointed as the minimalist feel of the restaurant interiors successfully made me forget the clutter of the week. Even the imposing patch of black mural on two sides of the dining area conditioned my senses. It was interesting to see the Romulo Group and Privato Hotel's advocacy to caring for nature as the mural depicts the Philippines' 12 endangered bird species that people need to be aware of. Having noticed the silhouetted art, I jokingly assured myself that I won't be served anytime with any of the shortlisted specie of that endangered contingent.

Splendid Dining View

Piazza Privato guests have a splendid view of the unobstructed The Fort and Makati Business District skyline. I enjoyed this during my stay, dining at the 6th level of Privato Hotel where the restaurant is.
