Pampanga Tocino Meal

Restaurants come in all shapes and sizes. I've seen a lot of garages become successful eateries and one late lunch this month, I discovered one more of that tasty spectacle in Pasig City's Barangay Kapitolyo. Kanto Freestlye Breakfast may not have air conditioning but it's because the dining area is given way by a huge tree that's perfectly arching the former residential drive way, providing shelter from the outdoor heat.

Just like most patrons of the Filipino-American breakfast nook, I got attracted to dine at Kanto Freestyle Breakfast for its promise of quality meals at an affordable price. I appreciated that my order of the sweet-tasting Pampanga Tocino (P99) came with a cup of garlic rice, scrambled eggs, and a delicious siding of tomato pesto which, by the way, is the main reason why I will be returning to the restaurant soon.

Iced Coffee

My Very, Very Late Lunch

Since my lunch break was at past 2:00pm already, I opted to order from the resto's affordable drinks selection. Sips of my thirst-quenching iced coffee set me back for P30 only.

Tasty Enhancement

Kanto Freestyle Breakfast definitely enhances the dining experience of our favorite breakfast fare with combo meals that are not just delicious, freshly served but also eye-catching. With enough domestic charm, it reminds me of snacking in my late grandmother's garden.

This lunch review is part of Turista Trails' Food Trip-Venture series of Pasig City establishments.
