Nature's passion that's kissed by the sun. That's how I see the beach destination called Boracay in Aklan. The beauty of the place simply presented itself to me. There was no need to toil the earth to figure out its hidden gems. Simply standing at a spot of the island's white beach or long beach made me realize that a memorable relaxation could still be had there.

As part of my blog writing challenge prize, I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights for free at a new contemporary designed suite at The Sitio Boracay Villas and Suites. I also traveled by plane for free to and from the province via Cebu Pacific Air and Zest Air. I also appreciated that the food was compliments of the resort-hotel.

My First Day Strolling

On my first day in Boracay, I immediately stepped out of my resort room and walked the 4-kilometer shoreline dotted by various hotels and dining establishments on one side and embraced by the glistening sun on the other. The crystal clear waters of the beach was more than just a fancy press release by tourism entities. Standing on the powdery white sand, I knew how real of a good stuff the island beach was.

Choosing A Spot

It's easy to get lost in the electrifying congestion of businesses, tourists, and locals when you're walking around barefoot on the sand at the beach. When you're in the middle of the joyful queue at the beachfront, you simply have to find your spot under a tree or near the surf then relax.

Favorite Beachfront

Some tourists prefer the bustling environment of Boracay's Station 2. However, my favorite area of the shoreline during my short visit was Station 3 where there were less tourists and organized beach activities.

People-watching Activity

Aside from reveling at nature, I also had fun people-watching. It has always been my favorite activity to pass the time. I had the chance to do self-reflection by merely observing people move about and interact with each other from a comfortable distance. I loved how other tourists' own observations of me didn't feel intrusive. We sort of all knew why we're there and what we're there for.

Will I return to Boracay on my own schedule and with my own money? I definitely will. This is a getaway memory that's worth building on with another memory.
