The Sitio Boracay Villas and Suites have standard, family, and honeymoon suites and villas

As part of my all-expense paid trip to Boracay, staying at The Sitio Boracay Villas and Suites was a pleasant experience. My 3-days-2-nights beach getaway was my first in the famous island beach and the resort that hosted my stay ascertained that my accommodation was as divine as the sun glistening against the Boracay shoreline.

Aboard the Cebu Pacific Air, I felt giddy during the 40-minute plane ride. The sun was up that summer morning and my arrival at the island felt fresh. My Island Star Express ride from the Boracay Airport was on time. As the coaster or mini-bus plied the busy road parallel to the shoreline, I realised what most Filipinos in key cities nationwide have been saying about the congestion of activities in the island. However, I curbed my tendency to judge and allowed the fresh breeze from the beach to cleanse me of my urban bias.

A New and Improved Sitio

The Sitio Boracay Villas and Suites used to be just a cozy 755-sqm compound of exotic-looking villas. Now, its manage-ment has decided to extend the resort next door with a 3-storey suites that still capture the rustic elegance of the original villas.

Experiencing The Suites

The assigned accommodation to me was the only available room that day which was the Family Room. I was informed by the management that it was just the first week of operations for the resort extension (suites) and so the other rooms were still being finalized of their fixtures and decorations. This meant only two things for me -- new facility and fresh ambiance! I've always preferred renovated or new establishments and furnishings because it's indicative of the place's good quality to be updated with the times.

The view from my resort room

What I adored about my room was the veranda that allowed natural light to come pouring in whenever I'd wake up in the morning. I'd leave those glass doors locked but the curtains parted for me to enjoy seeing the blue sky and trees that were visible from the outside.

The interior decoration of the suites extension smelled of good acacia wood as most fixtures and furniture were produced from a similar material. Those complimented the light painted walls that made each room in the suites breathe. The contrast is made more interesting with the wooden flooring. The indoor environment definitely has a touch of elegance in it that I felt was not available at a few beachfront resorts in Boracay.

The resort is just a few steps away from the beach.

If anything, The Sitio Boracay Villas and Suites is not that far from the beach of Station 1 where it's located. The resort is just a few steps away from the beach. And since my suite room is just next to the original, established villa with a swimming pool, I had the option to enjoy a dip in its lukewarm pool water.

Unforgettable during my stay was the food. My sets of free breakfast looked decent and delicious and the viands available tasted of hotel quality cooking thanks to the inventive hands of Chef Sam Aus of the resort's sister establishment, the Gran Prix Boracay Hideaway which is located at the island's Station 2.

    1. Hi Phioxee. It's part of an all-expense paid blog writing challenge prize that I won last year. the resort is just a walking distance from the beach front... mga 4 na standard jollibee or 7-11 store facades ang distance n'ya.

  4. This hotel in boracay is a good "middle of the road" option for those seeking a clean well-fitted place that it not so expensive yet very near the beach. It is a good place to stay!

  7. Hi! Sana nga okay ang hotel na ito. Nakapagpa-book ako dito for our december 2013 wedding anniversary. Sa travel mart kasi ako nakipagtransact sa kanila and it's mura talaga. Too late to find out, I've read a lot of negative reviews about them.

I've booked the honeymoon suite and I hope this hotel will not ruin our celebration. I'm just so worried with the negative reviews talaga!

Kadalasan kasi sa mga hotel, maganda talaga ang service and accommodation nila sa mga bloggers kasi this could be their way of plugging their hotel. Kaya sana maging totoo sila sa kung ano ang mga sinabi nila e yun ang service na ibibigay nila.. crossed-fingers!

  8. This beach is just perfect for relaxing, if you are fed up with crowded beaches then do yourself a favour and spend a whole day at Puka beach. No vendors, no bars, but make sure you try the only one restaurant on the beach (not the one at the entrance). Stay until sunset, that is worth seeing!
